DIY Caftan Directions

 Ever since I saw Mondo's Cantaloupe Caftan on Runway, I've been wanting to make my own. Seemingly simple with few seams... caftans seem to fit my potato-sack clothing MO for my 5'11" post-baby-curvless frame. Here's the link I used to re-purpose a target tye dye scarf:

I was hoping for a soft black and white look like the photo below. 

 Maybe my next attempt will be a dress similar to the Trina Turk caftan below. 

Upstairs Playroom Loft

 Grabbed a few goodies at Target, scootched the furniture around, tossed all the baby toys and books together on a shelf and voila, an upstairs playroom! Thanks to my pin board for inspiration. I assume the breakables will have to go before long, but at least it's somewhat cohesive with the style of the rest of the house and my little man's bedroom.

Baby's First Easter Basket

Lonny Love March

Lonny is back! My favorite feature from the March/April issue has to be this classic, yet modern beach house. I love that it includes all of my favorite design elements... white linen, black wrought iron details, elegant drum lamps, and woven textures. If it were my house I would have to add a little pop of color here and there and a brightly patterned throw pillow or two! 

DIY Girly Onesie

 Print out a copied and pasted mock up of the logo...

 Lay it under a white preshrunk onesie...

 Paint with non toxic fabric paint...

 And Voila; DIY girly Chanel inspired onsie!

Nursery Update March 2012

After planning and decorating all last summer, it's fun to actually see my little man all moved into his room. It's funny how we rushed to get it ready before he was born even though it took months for the 'move in' to happen. Here are a few of the finishing touches on his nursery that we decorated for him back in August.
