BR

Someone really cute and tiny around the middle NEEDS to get this adorable skirt I saw at Banana Republic the other day.

Because it won't be happening for me anytime soon ;)

5 Minute Project: Pregnancy Keepsakes Box

I saw this cute idea in a pregnancy magazine~

create a memory box for while you're expecting!

I used a velvet lined box that I already had in the house and added a few stickers and a bow to dress it up a little. So far I've added....

baby books

ultrasound pictures

nursery paint swatches

and cards we've gotten along the way!

Sneak Peak: Nursery Paint

The room is still a mess, but we have our paint on the walls and couldn't be happier. It was hard deciding to add another color to the house when we already have 2 other colors (shown above). Since we're not afraid of painting we went for it! We wanted something neutral, soothing & unique for baby and something that we like as well. We chose "Pashmina" based on the inspiration photo below. It's a warm gray/stone color that changes to various shades of gray/brown/beige/blue depending on the light.

Here's how it turned out (ignore the messes everywhere):

Before.. the best part was I got to be out of the house all day so baby didn't get any paint fumes :)

More to come once we get it cleaned up!

Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails...

It's a boy!!!

We are so excited! Time to get serious about setting up this nursery... we have all 4 major pieces of furniture squared away now:

crib
changing surface
storage
place for feeding (chair)

We scored a Pottery Barn changing table at the neighborhood garage sale,

and snagged this rocking chair online (thanks Lindsay for the recommendation).
For storage and decoration we plan on re-purposing the shelves that are currently in the room.

We also know that the main color will be blue (shocking, right?) Instead of baby blue we are opting for a bright turquoise blue! Bits of lemon yellow and papaya orange will be woven in for color (can you tell I'm craving fruit?)

A photo to document the not-so-fun part... cleaning out the contents of the office closet. Yikes!

Now the little one has a space for all those adorable onesies.

Our little "banana" is getting bigger by the week!

All White Furniture

I realize some of these posts might be for own sake- trying to organize my book marks is not an easy task. What do all these rooms have in common? White furniture!

New Creations 6/8

Does anyone else enjoy Real Housewives as much as I do? Their lives may be train-wrecks, but their jewelry is always stunning and currently they are all over the Greek "evil eye" trend. Here are some inspired pieces using supplies I got from Turkey. The summery color combos turned out gorgeous! Coming soon to my online shop...
