Toddler Easter Basket

I know Easter is a few weeks away, but it's hard to resist putting together a basket for my little man (16 mo). He is SO much fun to shop for. Since he doesn't need any more toys, I kept it pretty simple: A few things for our beach trip and of course, snacks. All were target sale finds with the exception of the tiny Toms.

So fun to compare what he needed at 5 mo. old and now.

Ikea Hack: CIRKUSTAULT

I've been waiting for a rainy day to pop up B's Ikea hacked circus tent but I couldn't wait any longer. I scrapped the entire "CIRKUSTAULT" nylon and kept the bones to work with. I chose fabric that went well with his nursery/bathroom/playroom because I wasn't crazy about the original orange and red. He and I are both happy with the result and the best part is that it collapses into nothing for easy storage.

 

The original idea was to use the tent suspension rods but I'm not that great of a seamstress so hanging it was a much simpler route. The fabric stretches about 3/4 way around the top hoop and I hand stitched the bottom hoop around so the walls would keep their form. 

  

Bunting was created using felt, ribbon, and a hot glue gun. No sewing involved... 

A little Trina Turk remnant creates the perfect flag and ties in with the rest of the room accents.

Pillows & poufs and make for fun tent accessories.

Holiday Fun!

Little ones seem to make the holidays so much more fun! Everything seems simply magical. From lights, trees, Santa, ugly sweater parties, and ice skaters... B seems to be excited by it all. 

We are keeping our decor simple this year, but we have a darling little 4 ft planted tree, lights galore and a yummy smelling fresh wreath.
